Right now i own a automatic honda civic, i have a lot of fun with it but i need to convert the transmission to manual before i start adding parts to the engine. Could someone please give me a run down of the parts i will need to do this. I have seen trannies for 200 a pop but i have also seen trannies for 2000 a pop. Why is there such a big difference in price, how much better are these more expensive ones. Could i of little mechanical experience swap the tranny with a friend??

yea its posible to do with ur friend..together if both of u have basic knowledge of what it takes you will be ok...just to give you a price....i was quoted 1200 by a guy i know for parts and labor...i have a 4th gen with cable tranny so u may need different or more parts then i would...just starting you off with a price..i plan to do my own tho..in a month or so..good luck

 

Ya thanks for the help. I'm planning to do anything anytime soon. I gotta collect some funds first and then i will probably get enough cash to able to manage this in the summer time when i'm not in school. Thanxs for the help.
