tranny slow in the cold?

Default tranny slow in the cold?

well its been getting really cold around here latly at night..and i notice when i start my car up my my tranny is stiff (manul car) and so is the cluth pedal..not that you cant drive it or anything, but you can deffinitly feel the difference and when it worms up it goes away..i guess this is normal????.. because everything else in my car gets all slow and stiff too

I have a similar problem in mine. All the gears are hardier to shift in and going in second sometimes grinds alittle. It all goes away after 10 minutes of driving though. Maybe its the tranny fluid we have in our cars, it might be getting too thick when its cold but remember im not a transmission tech.

motor oil does get a little thicker in the cold...that is if you have a honda manual tranny...and as far as clutch pedal goes, you have brake fluid in there, over time that absorbs water...that might have something to do with it
