Transmission

i have honda civic 2008 sedan
please help
the car goes on reverse whatever the gear letter is
P=reverse
N=reverse
D=reverse
3=reverse
2=reverse
suddenly on a traffic jam this happened

Sounds like the cable from the shifter to the transmission broke, leaving you in one gear. Probably nothing wrong with your tranny at all. Just the cable.
