Anyone here play? Got any good tactics to share? Highest round you've made it to solo? Co-op? Favorite map to play on? (Der Riese, of course.)

I play this game at my friends house all the time. Fun game.

Only tactic I can share is, the game gave you a knife... use it.

Highest round solo, 8. Then I just got overwhelmed with zombies, so I set the controller down before I even died and went to smoke a cig. Game is intense.

 

I have only played one level (the "original" **** map I guess we will call it). I don't own WAW, but I have played ****'s when at a friends house or they bring it to my house. I haven't gotten farther than level 15 by myself and past 24 co-op with my buddy.

I usually try and hold out on buying a weapon until my pistol is out (lv. 3-ish), then I don't access a new area until lv. 6 has ended. I just keep trying for the ray gun and some crazy big lmg when at the chest box thingy.

Oh yea, usually when I need time to recover and find a new weapon, I usually try and leave one guy crawling around (slowly) chasing me or a buddy while one of us fixes all the windows/tries for a new gun at the random gun chest thingy.

That's the extent of my COD: WAW knowledge. Never really liked it in general, but I'm a huge fan of COD4. My gamer tag is D16 beat ya.

 

There are some really good tactics. Like, no matter what, in Round 1 you should let them get in. There will only be 5 zombies in round 1 so let them rip the barriers down. Knife them for like 130 points then rebuild the barriers. Save ammo. Round 2, you should keep the knife thing up. It takes 2 slashes. Then in round 3 you can shoot them 5 or 6 times then knife them for max points. If you have 4 people, you can wait until round 4 or 5 to get a better gun.

There are two schools of thought on Der Riese, the newest best map ever. You do that until round 4 or 5. Most people go for the trench gun because it's a 1 hit kill and you get 60 points per kill. Others run for the thompson because it takes more bullets to kill a zombie so you get more points with the rapid fire.

I tend to run for a trench gun then hit the random box and hope for an MG42 or Browning. If you've never played Der Riese, you're missing out. You can upgrade the guns. I love upgrading the MG42 into the Barracuda FU-440. Great gun.

We routinely last until level 18 or 19, but our best was level 34.

When someone goes down later in the game, don't revive the bastard. You will loose, let the dumba$$ die and respond next round. My favorite tatic is one the first map, get everyone with ray guns or dual machine guns and just guard the doors in the health room. Works great.

 

I havent played any other map since Der Riese came out. Best map ever. Always use either the back warehouse catwalk, or if no idiot opens the first door towards the trench gun, that long hallway works well too.

 

No one else on here plays? Just made it to 36 on Der Riese.

 

Ive gotten 2 level 16 by myself and 18 on co-op. The ray gun is what you want.

 

I scour 20 and finished two levels only. 19 on cp-op. It is very amazing game in every stages, it is very interesting to play with two players, great background and themes.
