Default Problem (Not Sure if Right Section)

Okay, i just signed up. been having some problems with my civic. figured i could find some answers on the good ol internet.

One day, My lil brother...decided when i wasnt home he wanted to hook up a new sound system i got for My 88 Honda Civic DX.
In his words..he had it in auxillary to test the wires. seeing if they were getting power. then one of the wires touched some metal and Sparked. The Car Shut Down, and since then hasn't been able to Start. I'm Not sure how to fix this, i've checked all the fuses and none are burnt or anything. If there's any help anyone can give me, please post here, or E-mail me at JustinBennett-@hotmail.com

P.S. - I'm 17 years old and Kind of New to All this Car business. So Please use Lamens terms :P hehe

Please use Lamens terms
Layman's terms?

Just giving you hell. Anyway, welcome to HCF.

Are you sure all of the fuses are Ok? There are more fuses under the hood by the battery. Does the car come on with all of the dash lights and everything, it just won't start? What's it doing? Spinning and spinning and wont' fire? Can you hear the fuel pump engaging when you turn the key? Do you know how to check to see if you have spark?

When he touched the power wire for the speakers to the body, he crated a short circuit and prolly either blew the fuse or melted something. If the fuses are not burned, there might be some melted wires or some electronics that are fried. Does any of the electronics work or does the car just not start?

Well, when i turn the key, nothing happens...the lights on the dash dont turn on or anything..but i know the electronics are still getting power because i can turn the hazard lights on. it's really confusing me. i checked all the fuses. even the ones under the hood. i found one fuse that was burnt..and it was for the sunroof (which i dont have installed, probably someone just put the junked fuse there to hold) usually even when the batteries dead.. the car will make a clicking noise..now it just does nothing. No Firing, No Turning Over Nothing.
