when i perform my tranny swap on my 98 honda civic will i need to do some wiring to keep it working properly or to make it start in nuetral
Oh yeh IF ANYONE HAS ANY CLUTCH COVER BOLTS / FLYWHEEL BOLTS FOR A MANUAL 98 HONDA CIVIC LX MODEL...PLS LET ME KNOW SO WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT....CUZ I DEF NEED SOME BOLTS TO COMPLETE MY TRANNY SWAP

yes i grounded the wires to m ake the ecu think it's in neutral, but thats when i was using my p28 auto ecu you will also need to ground the wire that releases the key, if not.. you will be getting your key stuck to the ignition
OOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..... you could just go out and buy the proper MANUAL ecu for your car, then you don't have to worry about tricking the ECU into thinking it is in neutral
remove the p-n-d selector(white box) there are 2 big wires, black with yellow stripe and black with white strip...........connect them together. this will be wired up for park to allow you to start the car and remove the key from the ign.

In reading the postings, I am trying to figure this out...
Are there two differient wires: one that tells the car its in Neutral AND one that releases the key? This is a 91 auto.
