Suspension, Brakes, Tires & Wheels - better handling????View Full Version : better handling???? frewcivic 04-16-2005, 11:00 AM i want to keep al tires on the ground when im turning. i was thinking about sticking a anti-roll bar into my car but i have no clue on what conponent does what. Wont that deacrease handiling? sacicons 04-19-2005, 06:22 PM not if you get decent rims. look into Rotas slipsteams or circuit 8s or 10s. they are all really lightweight, and with goo dtires, will make a massive difference in handling. there are other choices as well, such as Spoon, Mugen and Volk, but they cost a grip. elod 04-22-2005, 04:18 AM also take a look at upper and lower strut bars. also, i knew lowering your car will lower the center of gravity, therefore making it easier to stay on the ground while cornering, but i never really thought it would do much. i got mine lowered about 2" to 2.5" down, and the corner is quite noticable. Go with wide rims, lowered, and strut bars. although i dont have struts, with my old rims and stock height, i couldnt take 90 degree corners at 50km/h, now with winder n bigger rims (and new rubber), and lowered, i can take em at nearly 70km/h. that's with going into the left lane and ending up on the left side, it's not a rally car .... yet ;) |
