Default Help! I turn the key but starter does nothing

OK.I have an 03 civic lx. So I went to start my car and out of nowhere it wouldnt start. The gauges will flicker but the engine doesnt even turn over. I checked the battery terminals they are clean. I have no idea what could be causing this. I just drove the car probably an hour before this happened and now nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably the battery itself. They can break inside and just die suddenly. Can you jump-start it?

Take your old battery to the store and have them test it before buying a new one.

If it's a manualtransmission you may be able to roll-start it.

Also if you have a voltmeter you can measure the voltage at the battery terminals while someone turns the key, if it stays up above 12V then something else is wrong.
