Hey guys, I've had my '98 Civic DX for about a month now, and I've had a couple issues with it (blown headgasket and bad battery) but I'm left scratching my head at this one. The other day the shifter would not shift out of park, but unplugging, cleaning and replugging in the interlock(?) inside the center console fixed that issue. Now I'm having a problem where the shifter will operate normally, but when you put it in park it will roll, and if you put it in drive it just revs. I'm guessing it's stuck in neutral, and that there's some sort of cable that's messed up between the shifter and the transmission. All of the searching I've done hasn't returned any results so I'm hoping I can find some help on here!
