im soon puting in a t25 turbo in my 97 dx, just peiceing tha last parts together. i was wonderin when i convert obd2 to obd1 i need a ecu from a eg right? and how would i pass smog if there a way to keep it legal that be great. stupid cali rules lol. also do u think its worth turboing my car even if its not v tech?thanks

OBD2 to OBD1 is illegal in itself.

i knew that, but is there a way you could rig somthing to pass smog.

yeah pay the guy a $50 and hope hes cool with it. California has got emission's by the ***** man its gonna be very tough to pass.

no kidding[:@]. I remember one time my dad had to pay the smog guy $300 to get his rustang to pass and that was about 10 years ago, must cost an arm today.[&:]

This is my opinion if u live in california u might as well leave ur car stock or just buy a new car and leave it like that, becasue it way too much headache and money to do modifications to ur car and still pass inspections.
