Default Noise in front

Hello, first off, I have 1993 honda civic DX sedan. So, the other morning I was on my way to school and I this noise coming from what seemed to be where my front tire was( the side the glove box is on). The noise is hard to explain, it kind of sounds like a slight high pitched scraping but not too intense. So tonight I also heard it again, the only times it makes noise it when I accelerate or apply the brakes. My brakes work fine and everything seems to run fine, no engine check lights or anything. I think it might have to do with the cold because both times I noticed it it was very cold outside, my friend thinks it may have to do with the brake fluid freezing. Anyways I haven't called my dad yet or really checked it out much but any basic knowledge of this situation is really appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

It's definitely not frozen brake fluid.
It could possibly be worn wheel bearings.

Could also be that you need new brake pads on the front.

I agree. Brake pads have a wear indicator that makes a metallic noise when they need to be replaced.
