Default Couple different questions...

Just bought a 2000 Si with a swapped B18B1. Car runs like a champ, but I noticed that it drives at a higher RPM than the 99 EX I used to have. Cruising at 70 in 5th gear, it's at about 4000 RPM. Is this normal? I don't know how much difference it makes, but it has an Apex computer installed.

Another question... The shifter is kind of loose (about an inch or two of play in all gears). What should I look at to see if I can tighten it?

Thanks in advance.

sounds normal to me
i cruise at 70mph at 4000RPM in 5th gear (S20 transmission - D16Z6)

for the shifter, get some energy suspension polyurethane shifter bushings. They're like 12 bucks on ebay. Search for "civic shifter bushings." make sure you get the ones for B-series (they'll probably say "for 99-00 Civic Si", those are what you need)

just remember different motors have different transmissions which have different ratios.
