Default My head is sore from scraching it. Help with my ECM please!!!

My 95 civic died on my way home from work. It is not getting any fire to the plugs. Have checked everything in the dizzy and it is all good. Also my check engine light is not comeing on at all. I am thinking ECM but do not want to spend any more money untill I know for sure. Anyone know it if there is a way to test it. Book says take it to the dealer but thats kind of hard when it wont start. Open to any suggestions!!

Check whether the timing belt snapped.

Did you check the coil and igniter in the distributor?

Is the distributor getting battery power when the key is turned to ON(II)?

Does the CEL stay ON steady when you jump the service connector?

Is the important ground wire on the thermostat housing loose, corroded, or disconnected?

How do you know the coil is good?

What is the CEL? Its a new coil and have not checked the ground on the therm will check it though. Would that make it not fire though. I am at best a shade tree mech.

Go to the CEL (check engine light) link in my signature.

How did you check for spark? If that ground wire is disconnected, you will have no spark and no fuel. Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to ON(II)?

How do you know the timing belt is fine?
