'05 Civic EX Coupe speed dependent noise
Hey guys,
I have an '05 Civic EX and while driving there is a non-constant but consistent, speed dependent sound coming from the center/right side of the car. It is not a squeaking, but more of a whirring sound. The sound is worse when accelerating and when cold, but is still noticeable when coasting and after driving for a while. I do not think it is a wheel bearing since when jacked up there is no free play in the wheel, top to bottom or side to side. It happens with both summer and winter wheels/tires, so it is not a bent wheel or bad tire. It may be slightly worse when turning left but not much, and it's same when turning right as going straight, so I don't think it's a CV joint. There also needs to me resistant on the wheels (front end jacked up and putting the car in gear doesn't make the noise). I'm thinking either transmission or differential, as per where I am posting this
If anyone has any ideas let me know.
Thanks,
Brandon

This sounds exactly what I am trying to solve right now. My 05 civic coupe starts making noise around 30 mph, and if I turn hard right, the noise stops, but continues when driving straight and turning left, regardless of whether the car is in gear. Hope someone can shed some light on it.
