does anyone no how hard it would bt to replace the trailing arm bushing on a 91 hatchbak ?

 

Its not hard at all. But you will need a press to pull out the bushing, and push in the new one. A local shop that does suspension work should be able to do this to you for cheap.
Just take out the trailing arm itself, and bring it to the shop. As for taking off the trailing arm, its very straight forward. Just remember where the bolts go. Took me 2 hours total, inlcuding going into town in my friends car and getting the bushing pulled.

Maybe he means the front control arm bushing set. I'm looking into replacing all the bushings on my Civic. It has over 300,000 miles on the clock. There are complete control arms with new bushings and ball joints already assembled together on Ebay. I'm wondering about the quality of the parts.

 

Ah. In that case, I am unsure. I never got the chance to replace my control arm bushings. But I am quite sure you'll need a tool to remove/replace the bushings. I don't see why it would be hard. Just make sure you dont mess up your pins and dont forget what bolts go where.

As for your ebay listing GWL, it all depends on what bushings were used. I for one like factory replacement bushings. They last long, and give you a nice ride. The polyurethane tend to give you better handling and response, but give you a much more harsh ride. So it will depend on what your build is.

The ones on EBay are new aftermarket assemblies. I always preferred factory replacement parts from the dealer even though the prices are much more expensive. I may use Moog parts if they are available for the Civic, I used them in the past on my Chevelles without any problems.
