I just put a new distributor in it thinking that was the problem and got it timed but still misses real bad past 3000 rpm. Once you get over that you have to shift to next gear because it shakes and doesnt catch at all. I would appreciate any ideas,

Did you also replace the plug wires and plugs?

 

I didnt replace the wires and plugs should i do that?
