Default Headlights...

Sooo, i bought some halo projectors off of ebay about 2 months ago, and already the driver side low-beam went out, and on the inside corner there are two little LEDs... the driver side LED's blink rapidly now. I already got pulled over for it and was given a fix-it ticket. i have my stock ones with a chrome housing back in, but i dont like them.. so i decided i'm done with fancy projectors and i want to keep it simple with some black housing headlights.
can anyone help me find a nice looking, fairly cheap, good quality set of headlights with good night time visibility?

No problem.

As far as smoking the tails, personally, I'd say keep them the way they are; the 99/00 tails are a thing of beauty. But if you really want to do it, find somewhere that carries VHT Niteshades spray paint and use that on the red part. I'll see if I can't find a thread on using Niteshades, I know we have a couple around here.

what is nightshade?

also, got any pics of this being done before?
i've never seen it.. so i'd like to see how it looks.
my car was just pretty dirty the other day when i went camping...
and the dirt kinda made the red look darker from a distance.. and i thought it looked kinda cool..

It's a translucent black lens paint; basically, it's black paint that lets light shine through.

Here's a few links regarding Niteshades:

Discussion on blacking out headlights

Discussion on tint vs. Niteshades

Another discussion on tint vs. Niteshades

*edit: actually, I believe one of the links actually has a picture of 99/00 tails with the red tinted.
