I just got off the phone to garage r which is a performance shop in Perth (nearest city to where i live) and we were talking about the b16a engine and the guy was saying there is a massive shortage of the b16a engines (I dont know if this is just in Aust or the US as well?) and he says they are selling for like $9000 aud. Is there a shortage in the us. He also said any type r gear is as rare as hens nuts.

I should seriously think about importing B16As into the UK and make some serious cash.
The Type R engines have a bit more HP than others.

 

seeing as honda no longer makes these motors i would assume that they are not as easily attainable but i am getting a complete b16a swap with tranny for 1200 so 9 gs sounds like a lot

 

Except Perth is on the western coast of Australia not in the UK!! Plenty of b16's In the UK if you know where to look.

 

I say don't worry about the B, go all out with the K!!! But that's just me

 

i hope the k goes down in price before i wanna do a swap (like 1-2 yearswhen i have money)

 

Me too, it'll give me that much extra to throw at a K-powered F/I!!!!
