What should I look for.
Hi all. As some of you all might know, I'm looking for a honda civc from the 90s, thats is a hatchback 2dr and my budget is 3 grand but lower would be great! Anyway, I was wandering is this anything I should know about the civics when looking for one? Like was there a bad year? A good year? How many miles should i aim for?100k, 150k, 200+k? And the biggest question, is how much on average are repairs for these things? Thanks guys.

all upon what you like. 90's model hatchbacks are really nice, i like 96-00's just because their newer, and i think they look better, but i also really like ef's and eg's. i would look for 100k and repairs are fairly cheap.

Thanks guys for your help. So, i will look for a 90-95 hatchback and get one. Now, if I do get one round 150+k will it last a long time if I take care of it? Also, I was told by a friend that it would be a good idea to get it checked for anything wrong and also to have the timing belt and water pump changed if they aren't any records of that being done already. Is there anything else I should do to it? Also about how much is the timing belt and pump change anyway.. Thanks. I'm just tring to figure out how much I need to save for all of this. (The car, the repairs, the registration, etc)
