Default DIY EG "Headlights On" Warning Chime

Hopefully this gets moved to the DIY section...

For 92-95, there was an optional headlight warning chime. That being said, all you have to do it get a chime (maybe from radio shack) and hook it up.

Remove the driver's side kick panel (3 screws) and also the metal safety brace (2 10mm bolts) that is behind the kick panel.

On the fuse box, towards the top, is a series of 5 emtpy male prongs. You simply hook the chime to the 4th and 5th prongs.

With the key OUT of the ignition, turn you headlights on. If it doesn't chime switch the wires, the polarity might be wrong.

Yeah, some cars had them standard, but in the US it was a dealer option that nearly no one took.

in relation to ryanej2's reply, with this accessory, it only beeps or chirps or whatever when the headlights are on with the key out? i was hoping to have something like that which works when the key is inserted to the ignition and with the lights left on too. i would think for this function, i need another chime or perhaps plug it in a different location?
