New speakers.?
My friend purchased a 2005 Honda Civic and he wanted to put some better speakers in it. He would like to spend around $100-$150 on some new speakers. Please recommend some good speaker models and any store links if possible.
Looking forward to hear you.

Honestly, to really get an improved sound, you'll need to buy new speakers and an external amp for them....
Does that model have component speakers? AKA a speaker in the kick panel and a separate tweeter somewhere

is it a 2 door or 4 door? for the 2 door, its 6.5s in the front, and 6x9s in the back, and the four door has 6.5s all the way around.
Infinity 6022i or 6032cf for the 6.5s and 6923i or 6933cf for the 6x9s. the models with the "cf" on the end are their brand new models, and the ones with "i" are the previous models but are still for sale at many places.
Alpine SPS-600 and SPS-609.

and theres always ebay
obviously there are way better speakers out there, but i think these will be a big improvement over stock for not too much money. And I will add on that Superfly is right that an external amp will make the speakers sound much better and play to their full potential. Although I do not feel that it is absolutely necessary and you will definitely still see a noticeable difference between the stock speakers and aftermarket without an amp. Since you are working on a budget, I would recommend doing the speakers now, and at some point in the future when you are willing to spend the money, add on a four channel amp.

i got infinity 6022i for 6.5 and they satisfy my daily needs, i didnt want anything over the top and i got alpine type s for the 6x9. total i spent was about $180 on crutchfield. i'm sure they are cheaper now since i bought them for about a year now
and dealrocker, if you would rather have better mids and mid bass, then go with the Alpines over the infinity because superfly is right about the whole bass/midbass thing.
