turbo dx
and another thing my brother is a chrysler mechanic and he thinks as soon as i put any boost on my motor its goin to blow up but i read around and most of the time it said that the crank is good but the rods and pistons will go at 200hp
Not true, there are TONS of civics running 200+ on stock internals (look at my sig). Chances are, your clutch will go or not be able to hold the power first. Make sure to run a compression test before you even go farther into consideration
It's all about how much work you're putting on the engine, not the PSI. HP and TQ are what matters, not the PSI. A diesel truck turbo at 3 PSI would hardly spool at all, but once it did it'd put out more power than some DSM at 7 PSI. Go to the F/I section here on HCF and research until you can't anymore. Read every project thread, read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell, and then starting piecing a kit together for what you want. More boost/power means more new parts (even bigger injectors, clutch, stabalizer bars, re-tune every time you up the boost, etc) so figure out how much power you want and what parts you need, but before anything get a compression test to see if you can even handle it in the first place.
