Hi guys,
Im very new to all this. What I need to know is how can I install a double DIN multimedia unit with lots of goodies into my 2002 Honda Civic 1.4s ?

Do I need to do anything with the trims ?
Do I need to buy custom trim to fit the double DIN unit ?
What kind of tools / expertise I will need ?

 

You will have to buy a dash kit. The 2001-2005 Civics have a cutout that isn't square. You'll need the plastic kit to make it fit right. It doesn't take too much expertise. All you have to do is remove most of the lower dash plastic panels, unbolt the center console from underneath, and then pull it out (unhooking plugs in the process) to get to the brackets and such.

 

can someone please recommend me links to the kit and tools i need to buy and also the DIY or some article explaining what needs to be done, as im a complete newbie at such stuff willing to learn what it takes
