Hey guys I'm new to this site. I got a 1998 Honda Civic DX sedan last month it's automatic. I was thinking about putting in 2 12in subs a cd player i still have an old factory radio that came with the car. I need some advice on what I should buy with a $500 budget. What would I have to buy to do all the wiring? I'm pretty new to this I don't really know what I need. THanks

It seems like you are planning on installing the headunit(cd player) and subs yourself. If so, I would suggest going on crutchfield.com and getting a wire harness for the headunit and doing some research on subs and amps that you might want. I would not buy the HU, amps and subs from crutchfield, as you can usually find better deals elsewhere.
I think a $500 budget is doable, will it be the best, no but it sure will be better then stock. Keep us updated on what you do.
