Is that box the right size for 2 12"S? It seems small to me.

 

It looks similar to the Bass Slammer package that MTX was offering a while back. Basically it was two subs and a box at a pretty good price. If that is indeed the box, it should be around 1 cubic foot per 12.

Yeah, wire is a **** these days and that makes more sense. I just dropped $100 for a closeout NIB Stinger 1/0 power wire kit for my Mustang, then spent $50 on an open box Monster Cable 6 channel RCA, plus another $30 on speaker wire. Although I did my Mustang wiring "on the cheap" by shopping around, $180 is still expensive.

I spent $76 for a 2 amp full Scoshe (e2) kit for my 1997 Civic and it should be in tomorrow. Regardless, wire adds to the cost, no matter how you look at it!

I just wanted to make sure your friend didn't try to pull a fast one on you by overcharging you for that amp!
