ok well i notice this last year as i was taking my system apart for the winter, that under my hood after my 4ga power wire is hooked up to the + terminal it loops around and gos down in behind my battery but it touchs around the underneeth of my hood a little..well i notice that a little bit of the paint were it was rubbing was off, kinda like pushing your finger over a freshly painted service...i have the proper fuse in my holder, could this just be a reaction with the wire touching the paint? anything else?

ive always noticed my wires sometimes get a lil warm.. and they conduct the engine heat very well..soo it might be that??

 

^ oh man for a second I thought you meant INSIDE you car... Iwas going to say the sytem was being strained somewhere
