Polarity does not really matter when using stock wir, or for that matter any wire. as long as all of the speakers are set up the same way. If you hooked all of the negatives to the possative side of the speakers.....it would sound NO different than being set up with the neagatives to the negative terminals on the speakers.

Yeah, perhaps polarity doesn't matter. But I think the point was missed, zmd73 can't tell the difference between "+" and "-"in the factory wiring so a consistant conection pattern could not be done with confidence, whether straight or reversed.

Honestly though, I think speakers are designed to function best with the correct polarities connected.

and honestly though it doesnt make a difference which way round they are connected....

oops, sorry, you did get it. And, hey, I'll take your word for it because I know I sure don't have the ear for it. I just like to turn it up loud and think of the old days.
