I want to know the best way to go about this. I see http://commandoalarms.com/itmidx11.htm has a kit for $40 to convert to power locks and then I can add that to the keyless entry/remote start package which is $60 so in all id be paying $100 for the two kits. It has a ton of features i dont need or want to deal with tho because all i want is a simply keyless entry and preferably remote start (so I can warm the car and defrost in the winter before leaving the house)
Should I instead consider getting ex doors with the power locks/windows and then add the keyless entry/remote start or do these conversions kits work good?

 

it depends on your level of install ability, and the quality of the product. i use the DEI actuators when i have to and have very little trouble with them, then you just need relays and your power locks are done. after that all you need is a remote start keyless entry system. if you've got specific model questions, send me a PM. i don't know much about the commando stuff, but you get what you pay for.
