Has anyone tried looking under the existing speaker grills at the base of the windsheild in a stock 2006 Civic LX sedan? This is where the tweeters would be in an EX (or a coupe).

Since the tweeter speaker grills *are* there in an LX sedan, I wonder if the wiring is? (This would have to including wiring from a cross-over network.)

If so, it might be an easy "upgrade" to get some EX tweeters and pop 'em in. Otherwise, if the wiring's not there, it looks like a tough place to get wiring to.

 

I love the idea myself.....BUT, its not an easy install. The grills Do Not come out, they come out with the dash top. My local Honda dealer doesn't even have any info. It just shows that they are speaker locations with an exploded view.
