2004 Civic EX. I have some new components on the way and need to replace the tweets--do they pop right out? Can I fit a 1inch tweet in the factory location? THanks,

should be able to where are they located i know mine are right inside of the side view mirrors

 

They are located in the mirrors (where a lever would go on a manual mirror) just give them a little upward/downward tug, and they will pop off.

 

yup, they do just pop out, but im telling you right now, you might be in for a suprise to install new tweets in the factory sail panel, i had a hard time to install my infinity tweets when i did mine (alot of cutting to make it fit). im not sure what tweeters you are buying, but all i know is that mine was a pain to put in.

 

What did you end up having to do? Do you do some cutting or trimming on the sail panel?

yup, cut and trimmed the sail panel, also had to cut the mounting pieces that came with the infinity tweeters too.

 

for my 99 civic might preaty much just pop out and have a screw holding in the tweeter.....

luckely with mine my tweeters fit easy enough BUT i did have to completly cut off the rear clip for it to fit
i tried double sided tape to hold it in BUT i need to use some hot glue to get it to stick beter
