which amp?

i have the 2 12inch subs rated at 400 watts rms and 1200 peak power...which amp will do these subs the best? please help i have to tell my mom what amp to buy for christmas

man thats alot of choices you have...first off you have to see what ohms they are and how much you are willing to spend....what kind are they too???

id go with an 800-1000w amp. i wouldnt go over 1000w though. mono if your subs are 2+2ohms. if they are 4 then go with a 2 channel amp. as far as brands....stick with names such as alpine, kicker, jl audio....
