Are you running speakers that can handle 250 Watts RMS each or do you want additional headroom? I ask because 1000 watts is a lot of power to be running to mids and highs.

I would get one of these and call it a wrap: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14434

It shares the same circuit board as the more expensive Arc Audio amplifier and I have not been able to hear a sonic difference between the two.

It all depends on your budget! If you want another amp that flat out lies about the power it produces, you could always get something along the lines of this: http://www.millionbuy.com/lnzvct4120.html

It has a nice peak power rating but a pathetic RMS power rating.

I was told that these amps are OK, but I have no experience with them myself:

if ur speakers handle 60wats rms why do u want 250 going into each?

if u plan to keep those pioneer speakers just get a small inexpensive kicker, mtx, alpine, pioneer, RF, JL, POLK, Diamond, Memphis... amp u will find one for what u need for no more than 150.

I highly doubt he was going for 250 watts RMS per speaker. After all, his Audiofonics ADF-241, although it is rated for 1000 watts MAX, delivers a whopping 120 watts RMS per channel @ 4 ohms; 200 watts RMS per channel @ 2 ohms; or 400 watts RMS @ 4 ohms mono.

I really hate how most of the amp companies have switched to this MAXIMUM power marketing scheme. I could understand the budget companies doing it to sell their product, but when DEI did that with the Orion name, they committed blasphemy against a legendary icon!
