Default Amp Grounding

So, I just got a cheap used 300W amp and sub (thanks craig'slist!!) and I hooked everything up - 8 gauge power/ground wire, firewall successfully breached and resealed, power/remote wires down the passenger side, RCA's down the driver side. I have the amp and sub in my trunk, and I was wondering where the best place to ground the amp would be?? I realize I need a clean piece of metal for the connection, and I am not opposed to any sort of sanding of paint, but I'd like to use a bolt that is already there if possible.

Default RE: Amp Grounding

why are you opposed to sanding so much? rust? if so, after you sand it down and screw your ground down take a little grease and smear around it...or clear paint.

if you still dont want to just find a bolt/screw within about 3ft. of the amp and bolt it down
