battery relocate
ok, i did search, but there was nothing i could use. i got an optima red-top for an early christmas present. i need to put it into the civic. it is about twce the physical size of the origional. my first option (and i'll probably use this temporarily while im makeing the car work) is to move the airbox and put it in that spot for a little while. after that i plan to put it into the hatch. now for that i was wondering if it is worth buying a distribution block that i can plug the new cable to the old cable, or shold i just solder the 2 together and heatshrink it. either way works for me, but i would rather not spend that extra money. i was thinking i could get 2 large copper lugs, crimp the cables in one each, then bolt them together (i would of course heat shrink them) that i could do for like 6 bucks.
I havea yellow topthat's about double the size of my stock battery, I was able to cut some of the plastic at the bottom, take the battery tray out and fit it in my stock location. But here are some links that should help you out.
