Default Big 3

I was thinking of doing a big 3 upgrade to prepare for when I decide to upgrade to a kinetiks battery.

First question is should I get battery terminals for the positive?

Also how would I attach the new ground and new wire from the alt to the battery posts?

PS: Where is the alternator haha, i notice that there is a wire that runs to something near the engine, this has to be the alt, but there is also another wire running from the battery post and splits to a fuse box. Will I have to reattach this wire when I replace the alt wire?

first you will find the alternator if you look at the belt it is connected to it at some point. This is what it looks like http://www.clubcivic.com/4sale/d16y7-alt.jpg and yes i would get new terminals.

Okay what about the grounds... On a website I use as a refrence and learned about the big 3 from, he used the same grounding point for the engine block to ground and battery to ground.

But on my car there is 2 seperate 8 guage ground points for the battery and the engine block.

Should I put them to the same point of just replace the stock with 1/0 guage.

with my old setup i upgraded the ground wire to 0gauge and put it right on the strut bolt and then ran a second 0gauge wire to my alternators bracket BUT really any place on the block will do just fine.... your stock alternator does not put out much power if its stock....

your power wire you dont have to upgrade since your amplifier will be ran off the amplifier kit wire main thing is just your grounds.

i use the cutters on my crimping tool but you could use a knife blade but you would have to switch it out with a new one several times
