I have a pioneer stereo, it has 3 preamp outs. 4 polk audio 6.5 speakers, think there about 100-180 watt. Just got some pyle audio subs from a friend brand new. There 8" subs, 600 watt, 4ohm, dual voice coil. I need to know what kind of amp to get, and if there is any special consideration when thinking abou tan enclosure.

You will want to get an amp for your main speakers and an amp for your subs. There are even amps that combine the high amp and subs together for example JL audio has an amp called the 500/5 it is for the 4 main speakers (stages them as well, more power to the fronts) and then it has a seperate amp for the subs. Alpine also has a similar type of amp which is by far my favorite of the 2, its model # is the pdx-5. In any case, you need one amp similar to these or 2 seperate amps. I just mentioned these because you said "amp" in the singular tense.I would not power those polks off the deck. Polks are not the most efficient speakers and need a lot of power to sound good.

As far as the enclosure goes, its up to you. Make sure that you read what the manufacturer says what the subs perform in best and go from there. A vented box is going to give you the loudest sound, though it will cut down on some of the cleanliness of the sub. A sealed box will do exactly opposite, it will be much cleaner sounding but not quite as loud. If the subs call for a much bigger box then you can make I would probably lean towards a vented box OR sealed with poly-fil inside the box. It will slow down air movement inside the box and let you get away with a little smaller box then recommended and still sound good.
