'ello friends,

i have been considering buying some component speakers to replace the mediocre pioneers i installed last year. but, before i go all out, i have a few questions.

I'm a full-time student with two p/t jobs (and an instant-gratification issue ), so i won't be able to buy the fronts and the rears at the same time. Which should i buy first? my guess would be the fronts, because they're the ones closest to the ears...

which brands would be good ones? I'm kind of an Alpine fanboy, so i had my sights set on these or these. would those be a good investment?

As for the amp situation...i think that'll have to wait till later, but do you have any decent recommendations? again, i've been checking out the Alpines. lol.

and for my last question,
the back panel (the plastic under my back window) in my 96 civic ex rattles like a ****. that's the only rattle i can hear on the inside of my car. What are my options to reduce or eliminate those annoying sounds? i dont really care if it rattles from the outside or not.

All input/criticism/praise/eff-you's/etc would be greatly appreciated

Don't go for the type X
I personally don't like the sound, you might, but I don't suggest those especially because they are the older model
the newer model type X are supposedly much much better
amps, hifonics
for rattle, dynomat, foam, or just tightening it

 

alright...type Xs are out.
what about the type Rs?
or even other brands?
the alpines, infinities, and the MB Quarts are the only ones i think i'd buy. ive heard a lot of positive feedback about all three brands, but not specifically on and particular component set.

okay, i think i'll foam the hell out of it.
i did my trunk and such, but i never thought to do it to the panel. is there anything i'd have to be careful not to spray with foam? (other than the speakers lol)
