In the area of the driver's left foot and up a little, is where the noise comes from. There is a wiring plug that plugs into a rectangular black box. If you unplug it the noise will stop. HOWEVER, the courtesy lights won't come on. So I looked at the book and took avery lucky guess and cut the smaller blue and white wire from the plug. No more annoying ding ding ding. If anyone is really really interested I can take a picture and post it here toexplain.
If you're still happy with the cutting of that smaller blue/white wire to get rid of that key-in-ignition BeBeBeBeep, I'm definitely interested in more details/pics. I've been under my dash hunting for the beeper and just can't find it. On most all my previous cars disconnecting the beeper did the trick without loosing anything else but I guess it's not so with later models.

If you are having the door open to listen to your stereo, you could just wire your accesory on your deck through a three pole switch, along with a constant power, and keep your keys out of the ignition, that might solve your problem.

just pop the switch out of the door jam and unplug it but the minute you do this you will lock your keys in your car.

That switch is probably fine for most but I have a 3yr old that already knows how to put the key in and play his CD (I keep the keys from him). It won't be long before he learns where this switch is (where ever I place it) and I'll end up with a dead batt.

It seems to me my best bet would be to cut that Key Sense wire whether at the beeper or steering column (which ever is easier to reconnect) but before I do, please have a look at the below.

Has anyone seen this little trick? Seems to be a real cool way to get around that BeBeBeBeep Key Sense. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

Fixed it. I installed an on/off push button switch inside the factory momentary door switch so now all I have to do is push the door switch in all the way to disable/enable it.
