Hey, well i just got my Alternator installed.
It was actually pretty difficult.......for one reason.

- First of all....the alternator was slightly bigger
in size than the stock alternator.....which made it
harder to get in place. So the mechanic i have
adjusted it into place.......

However, he had to remove the front wheel and
axle to get it in there.........he charged me a little more.
Total was 45 dollars for installation.....hehehe.

As soon as i turned the car on, i felt the difference.
The car turned on faster........and the voltage
display on my capacitor finally showed 14+ volts.

They seeem pretty legit. I will let you know if i ever have any problems.
I dont seem to have any problems with it........car seems fine.
I am happy with it. =)

I still here these are the stuff. I have seen a twin setup on a competition vehicle, it looked pretty raw. Haven't heard any feedback on them though, but they might make a model to line up perfectly with the civ.

well the one guy ssaid bossted.... im wondering if he ment with a turbo the extra heat under the hood burned up his alt....

but ill be buying a ebay hipower alt eventualy for my civic.... just cause the irraqi onrd might be REALY GOOD BUT..... the cost is realy bad..... i think i was quoted like 7-800bucks.... OUCH... ill take the cheaper one myself...

tho i would advice a overdrive pulley on the alternator..... turn the alt over faster at idle speed just be sure to get the slightly shorted belt also for it...
thats what i had to use on my trucks highoutput alt... it wouldnt charge at idle BUT i swaped the pulley and belt it it worked great!!!!

and ya i read before that ya have to pull the axle out to get the alt in and out....

I bought an alternator from this guy and it has worked good for me ever since. But I did not have to remove an axel or anything to get the bigger alt in my 1992 civic, I just removed the power steering, and a couple of other minor things in the way and shove that **** in place, and then once it was down there, hammered that biatch in(carefully tho) because it was really tight to get in there. I did it myself in about 4-5 hours or so, would have taken me less time but I really didnt know what I was doing, wanted to be careful ya know. all out... it was a good experience, and I havnt had any problems since. im not going to spend $400+ for a HO alt when I can get one for $150 shipped. Im a cheap guy, and when/if this alternator goes, then so be it. better than the stock alt that lasted 192k miles lol

hey... to do good work ya dont have to spell good....
hell look at me... i can do ALOT of good work BUT my spelling either sucks or i start typing to fast... ive also got alittle dislexia so i get numbers and letters turned around alot as well! sometimes worse than others of course!

thiers tons of people out thier that can win spelling bees and all kinda history crap.... but they couldnt turn a wrench to save thier life! cannt change thier own tire if they had a flat....

then thiers those guys that can rebuild a motor and tranny perfectly... but they cannt write down any words on the bill for the guy.LOL like my dad! he can do just about anything to a old school car.... tune up quad or duece carbs... which one is it with 8 carbs on the intake... cannt remember right now... but he can tune them suckers up with a screw driver and just his ear listening to the motor... BUT he REALY cannt spell or do math to save his life!!!!!!

well didnt have to type all that BUT IN SHORT... ya dont have to spell good to build a good product!
