Default electrical gremlins....

hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction on this.
when i push the wiper lever down for "mist" the wipers go up half way then stop, this same thing also happens on the delay feature, if i hold the mist function all the way down they will work just fine. Do you think its the wiper stalk switch itself or possibly the relay going bad?
thanks in advance

When you turn the wipers on normal then turn them off, do they always keep going and stop at the bottom like they should? Or do they just stop wherever they were when you turn the switch off?

There is a switch in the motor that controls this. It is supposed to keep the motor running until the wipers are at the bottom position. But this is also all tied back through the stalk switch so it really could be either part; you'd need to pull a diagram and test with a meter.

Find the diagram for your year model. Have the wipers stopped partway up, then unplug the motor. Test the two wires that go to the parking switch in the motor. If the switch is not closed, replace the motor.
