Fading backlights
I just got my alpine h/u installed. I used the supplied wiring harness and soldered all connections. The rest of the system is bone stock.
The backlights on the function keys are fading when the bass hits and it's driving me nuts. I thought maybe it had something to do with the ground but it's all soldered in to the factory wires and everything else is fine. Is the electrical system on these cars weak?
I had an alpine in my truck and noticed a little bit of fade when my SUB hit, but not the door speakers!!!
WTF do I do?

I used the harness supplied with the installation kit... is that what you're reffering to?
I put my r/f sub in yesterday, bumps pretty good in this little car. I was never impressed with it in my truck because of all the engine (diesel) and exhaust (staight pipe) noise that drowned it out... but on this little quiet car it hits fine.
