Here's what I have to work with....

I can't really afford to spend much, so I was just going to get some MDF... and make it all myself... I got all this stuff for free (and have had it for over 8 years... except the subs)

P.S. I'll probably get some kind of grille to cover up the missing gaskets... and the bend in the one surround isn't a hole..it's just been sitting in a box for a couple of months...

Sealed box will be most likely your best bet.. uses less space and has a cleaner sound.. unless you prefer that boomy sound and no trunk

this is the box i had, obviously my subs were a bit newer but i think the box is what made these subs hit like they did.

Yep, I know... LOL... I traded an old Rockwood 300w amp for it... again... not sure if it even still runs, but if it does... I'll be in heaven. The Targa 300w I got from a friend... he went to college and gave it to me... and the 2 Punch 10's... I helped a friend with his garage door (I was a Technician for 6 years) and he gave 'em to me... he got some newer ones... so, he didn't even need 'em anyways... LOL It may be a while before I can get 'em in... I have to do some R&D... and find a way to get my wife to agree... if I didn't have to PAY for the supplies... she wouldn't care... but MDF is kinda expensive... LOL She doesn't mind me putting a system in the car.. but right now... our funding is extremely tight... like... we may be LOSING money each month... LOL I only bought this car because I HAD to... I needed a commuter... and it came with a Pioneer DEH-P6500 head unit... so, I figured I'd at least throw my subs in the back...

Yes, I know... but a sheet of MDF for $20 when your bank account is $0... tends to get a bit expensive... LOL... ah, I'm not that bad off... I just gotta figure out how to convince my wife that the $20 will be well-spent... LOL

LOL... I'll get it done... it's just not really high on my priority list right now... I can make all the excuses in the book, but that's pretty much the truth... I've gotta do some R&D, too... I've gotta take measurements, and design the box the way I want it... once I get to that stage, I'll post pics... and drawings and such... Then, it'll just be about finding time... LOL... right now, I work a full-timer (8-5 M-F)... I have a web design business I'm trying to get off the ground (http://www.prographicsolutions.com)... I have an 11 month old that requires a lot of my attention...(http://www.dustinandamber.com) AND... this isn't my only hobby... (http://www.renegaderevo.com) Somewhere in there I have to include sleep... LOL

EDIT: Oh, and this is my "commuter car" which means... I drive it to work... and my work is about 3/4 mile away... I don't even have time to re-attach my faceplate to my headunit in that amount of time... heheheh
