Default Front Speakers

Alright troops...

Just got my hands on a 96 Civic hot hatch and it's time to stamp my mark on it! I've ordered a head unit (should get it on Thursday!) and fitted a set of 6x9's at the back which are powered by a 2 channel amp I aquired...

Next on the list is a set of components for the front.

Should I get a set with crossovers?
Where abouts are the crossovers fitted?
Where abouts should I fit the tweeters? Do I need to start cutting the doors etc? Or are the there stock tweeters that can be replaced?
Can the tweeters be mounted on the dash somewhere instead of being in the door?

Thanks dudes... any help is appreciated

...
