Default Front Speakers not working

Allright so i just got my car and guess what the front speakers in the door dont work...so me and my dad looked around in there and there are some 10 guage wires running to the back but no subs and no amp wiring kit...and we put an aftermarket deck in...there was an old one in there before this one, well instead of using a harness they cut the wires and cut the whole male end right off, so my dad hooked all back up to the stock speaker wires and still nothing so i need to kno where i should loook for the stock speaker wiring. I already pulled the speakers out and they were hooked up though i didnt pull out the whole door panel... So lost ! Thanks in advance for help!

Default RE: Front Speakers not working

your factory front speaker wires are: left + = blue, left - =gray/black, right + = red/green, right - =brown/black

on your HU, those wires are grey and white, grey = right, white = left, and the ones with the black stripes are the -

so if those are all connected right, and its connected on the speaker, you should have sound, if not, try hooking up any speaker to the white and grey wires from the HU to see if you get sound, if you do, just run new wires from the HU to the door speakers.

do your rear speakers work?
