well, i got the stock head unit out, and im ready to install the new unit, only problem is, im not sure if i need a installation kit( those kits with all the plastic parts to hold the unit) in the link on this thread it says i donot need a installation kit so im not sure, because i dont see what it will mount to inside the stock location. Also, im a bit confused with the wiring, im wonderiing if i should do a bit more research or just take it to professionals for the install?

Don't you have an aftermarket wiring harness adapter for it? Cost is about $6 at wallsmart.

Did you buy a wire harness for your Civic? They're like 7.00 at Wal-mart. then you should connect wires color to color.

Edit: ___^ You got to it before me.

Edit again: The install sheet i provide you on the previous page tells you all about the wiring on page 5 and 6. Check it out.

lol[8D] well im looking at this harness and i see that there are alot less wires on the head unit harness, so do i just connect the colours that are there? I now understand the concepts and different wires. Should I solder this thing or buy some crimps?
