Default Head unit problems

I hope somebody on here will be able to explain this! Lately my jvc head unit won't play cd's. it will do the radio and all of the functions on it just fine....but cd's won't play. It doesn't even sound like the cd is spinning when it's in. All that happens when I put a cd in is that it will say "-CD Play", then after a few seconds it will beep a couple of times, the radio comes on, and I get a "Please Eject" message. It's done this before but it stopped and worked fine for a while. It's doing it again and it's driving me crazy. It's only like a year and 3 months old too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe the laser is dirty... buy a cleaning CD (its got a small brush on the bottom side and goes in like a normal CD) and see if that works. The only other idea I have is maybe the motor that spins the disc is shot?

Well I did buy a cleaning cd...but it doesn't do any good if it's not spinning. And I thought that it was a good quality. I paid $375 for it and it's only a little over a year old!?!?!....there's something wrong with that.

sonds to me that you connected the remote wire to battery. u can fix that by by putting a swich in remote wire or connect it to the proper wire on your unit.
