i won't be able to answer your question, but the people who will answer it are going to need to know the specifications of your subwoofer. For example, its RMS watts and whether or not it has dual voice coils

heres what i would buy. first thing is your going to half to bridge the amps secondly i would go with 2 alpine 1800 watt amps or 2 kennwood 1800. also you ould go for a 1800 and a 1000 watt amp. either way you are probably going to half to bride a couple amps for the type x.

my buddy has a type R 12 in and 2 10 in audiobahns and has the 2 amps bridged coming out to about 3800 wats.

u can get 1 amp if it has the power. and u should wire them so you get a 2 ohm load. so ur going to want at the very least 1000w rms total at 2ohms for both combined. they can handle 1000w each rms, ive set them up like this for a few customers.

idk if u care about waranty on ur gear.... but heres a link for authorized and non-authorized

authorized: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_099ZA12...owAll=N&tp=115

Nonauthorized: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-D2000SPL.html

either one u go with will be great.... they are both amazing amps quality wise. U can obviously get more for your buck with a unauthorized dealer because u arent getting that Manufacturers warranty.... but a lot of times when u install yourself, u wont get it anyways, so u might as well go with unauthorized if u plan on installing.

if u have any other questions let me know.

with the two type R12s you still need to know what voice coil configuration before you buy a amp or your subs... they both matter HIGHLY!
best to go with a single MONO amplifier. if the amplifier puts out most power at 1ohm then get the 2 typeRs with DUAL 4ohm voice coils....
if the amplifier puts out most power at 2ohms then get the dual 2 ohm voice coil models.

if you dont heavily plan your subwoofer and amplifier purchase you could easily waste power capabilites from the amplifier or even fry the amplifier if its not designed for that low of a ohm load.
also NEVER GO BY PEAK POWER!!!!!!!! if it doesnt say RMS power output at a certain ohm load then dont buy it! they might as well print THIS CURES CANCER AND ENLARGES YOUR PEN*S.... its total bs numbers!
you want to stick with a good name amplifier! id suggest either a alpine amp, or even a RF amplifier. i have a RF amplifier and it came with a real birth/bench sheet that says exactly how much power MY amp puts out.... amplifier is only rated at 1K watts RMS at 1ohm but the birth sheet shows it puts out 1620 watts RMS at 1ohm... you gotta love under rated amplifiers but most weak brands OVERRATE there amplifiers and they dont give you a birth sheet for your amplifier. id highly recomend RF. i plan on using it to push 2 15inch type Rs this winter. im already using it to push one 15 R at 4ohms geting only about 600watts according to the birth sheet. with my second sub ill wire it to 2ohms and push about 110watts to them.
my amplifier is RF POWER T10001bd
