RULE #1. Never talk about peak. It means jack. Basicly, just look ar the W RMS, or nominal power or whatever its written as.

Now thats out of the way, are you asking if your stock amp will power those Alpines if you just straight out swap them? Dont expect too much improvement, but yes, I dont think you will have any troubles . Wait, I got no idea what you are asking. Maybe its cause Im still a little drunk.

OHH STORY TIME! I was workin on the ol Civic at the top of a mountain here at the academy (Conveniently called Mt Pleasant, even thought its not very pleasant when you are pushing a jeep up it or a trailer with only 1 wheel) for a bit of a change of scenery, when one of the USAF exchange students came up to take some pictures of our lovely scenery. I asked him how he was liking Australia and he said, in his funny american accent "Im loving it, but I think my liver is going to fail if I keep drinking like you ozzys do."

And the other day, I saw a bus load of American exchange students, looked like they were 18 or 19. I promply informed themthe legal drinking age in Australia is 18 and the hostlike she was gonna kill me.

Yep. Still drunk. Big night.

Check all the numbers, and just match up the WRMS of the amps channels with the speakers.

60- 80 rms will do ya good. but since the type s are 50 watt rms speakers just turn the amp up to about2/3 to 3/4 of the way up. those speakers sound great for the price.i know cuz i had some until about a month ago. i had the alpine mrp-f450 4 ch amp, which i still have, which pushes 70 rms and sounded very clean.

ya that amp is great, its the exact same amp that i have in my car. it will push the type s speaker very well. i used to have that exact set up and it sounded great for mid level speakers. since then i have put type r speakers, but they are still runnin on the same amp and sound awesome. if you can get that amp, then get it

If your speakers can handle 50 watts RMS continuous, get an amp thats 60+ watts RMS Clean power. Its better to have an

amp that puts out more then the speakers can handle. Distortion from a low powered amp causes heat, and thats what fries

speakers sooner then a little extra power. Always better to have an amp that puts out more then you need.
