i am thinking of what to do with my system now and i want y'alls opinion. factory head unit, slave cd player from ebay, 2 12" sony p5s and a 1000w amp. is this a good idea and will i run into any problems

 

Its not that bad of an idea. But with a 1000 watt amp will come with an 'electriholic' meaning you will need to get a battery capacitor for your amp so you wont hurt the amp or alternator in the long run

agreed, sony is no good in car audio. I think alpine stuff is a good midrange brand. I've had type r subs and they hit pretty hard and sound pretty clean, plus they arent too too expensive. Seriously though, pretty much anything in the car audio market is better than sony, they overrate their products like crazy.
