Infinity 6.5" speakers in 2000 Honda Civic -- help
I just bought a pair of Infinity Reference 6012si 6.5" speakers for the front of my 2000 Honda Civic.
Unfortunately, the speakers themselves have 4 screw holes, while the place to mount them only has 3. Does anyone know of an adaptor that can help to fix this issue or a common way to get around this? I really don't want to have to pay $45 to get these installed, since it doesn't seem like it should be too difficult to do.
Thanks.

I do own a drill
...in fact that's how they are in there right now -- I pretty much forced screws into the plastic moulding through two of the four screw holes.
I just want to make sure that there isn't a more secure way of installing them or a known "right" way of doing this.

I think that you are looking for is a pair of these.
2000 CIVIC SPKR ADPTR
I used them for my CRV when I installed my own pair of Infinity Reference 6010cs components for the front. I powered them along with a pair of Infinity Kappa 63.7i for the rear with an Infinity Reference 7541a 111W rms x 4 channels and they sing beautifully. They don't have strong bass, but that's what my Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 is for.

What you didi was ok, its not really a big deal. I did the same. That is a legit way. I worked in a high end audio garage that did the same so no worries. If you have any other concerns let me know
